Formula steps How Bitneer gets the result
  1. Start with compare by, unit, option a cost and option a quantity; numeric entries must be valid before the calculator returns a result.
  2. Apply the formula: Unit price = cost / (quantity × packages); savings = absolute difference between unit prices.
  3. Show best value, option a unit price and option b unit price in the result panel with the matching breakdown rows.

The calculator divides each option's total price by its total quantity, using the same unit basis for both products. The lower unit price is marked as the better value, and the per-unit difference shows the savings.
